E-reader web page for young children

The Aurora Public Library announces the E-reader web page for young children. Children ages 3 and up can log onto the page from home or in the library to choose a picture book site to read, view, or listen to books. Books are available in English, Spanish, French, and other languages. Children in the Library can ask for headphones at the nearest service desk.

The page was developed to provide access to books on line for young children, knowing that more and more young children are viewing materials on the Internet. It is hoped that this page will contribute the development of literacy for children in Aurora and all over Colorado. There are four programs to choose: Tumblebooks (for which the child at home will need an Aurora library card), the International Children’s Digital Library, the Story Place, and Story Line.

To reach the E-reader page, go the Aurora Public Library web site

(http://www.auroralibrary.org) and click on the APL KidsOnline bar; when the page comes up, click on the E-reader tab.
